A combination of (a) my hastily written opinions/reviews about my latest pop culture excursions; (b) inner musings that may come of those excursions and/or unrelated phenomena; (c) good practice toward, and a low-budget prototype for, an eventual webzine; and (d) whatever seems to work well that day.

Tonight is the DrunkProv show — which you have either heard about already or, if not, you are not getting into. This venture, which pits four sober comic improvisors (including yours truly as the token male of the team) against four inebriated fellow players, should be interesting. Most of us participating are highly optimistic about the success and quality of the show, with the idea that if it doesn't work, it should be funny in its not working. All of the seats have been sold, and a very limited number of standing-room-only spots will be offered to a few lucky people at the door. I'm looking forward to having a blast this evening.

Yes, it has been a while, and this is going to be one of my short posts just to let folks who check this blog site regularly know that I'm still using it.

Unfortunately, I don't have sufficient time now to write much; besides, the only films I've seen in the past couple of weeks are "Charlie's Angels 2" at the $1.50 theater --- hey, there could never be a movie with both Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in it that would be bad enough to skip --- and "Feardotcom" on Cinemax, which helped me to get some much-needed eyelid study in when I wasn't thinking about how big a rip-off of the original Japanese version of "The Ring" it was, just with more disturbing imagery. Yuck. Oh, I forgot about "28 Days Later," which I enjoyed, but will have to wait to talk about (the time factor again).

Speaking of horror films, "Cabin Fever" is opening this weekend and is supposed to be good.

Gotta run. More ASAP!
