Hang on, people! I know it has been a while, but hopefully the anticipated 2003 best-of lists should start appearing in a couple/few days . . .

Wow, these online quizzes can be a bit overwhelming in number. This trend among my fellow blogger buddies will likely fade into obscurity as rapidly as it has become de rigeur, but for now, let's have fun with it. Today's quiz results from my visiting Durden Kent over at http://redsockdiaries.blogspot.com, a highly recommended site. Which '80s band am I? Well, it honestly was a four way tie:

Which New Wave/80's Band Are You?

Which New Wave/80's Band Are You?

Which New Wave/80's Band Are You?

Which New Wave/80's Band Are You?
No shame in any of those results, and imagine the supergroup that would result --- the mind boggles.

Thanks to my buddy Aaron over at http://aaronjamison.o-f.com, I took the "Which John Cusack are you"? quiz and confirmed what I suspected --- I am the Rob Gordon character from "High Fidelity." As a former record store employee (for about seven years), this made me feel truly good --- as did the movie.

Which John Cusack Are You?
A couple of weekends ago, on the same Saturday, I inadvertently wound up seeing two Johnny Depp films in which he played double-dealing characters. Serendipity was at play, because these were both spur-of-the-moment decisions. "Pirates of the Caribbean" was great fun, but "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" ruled! Not since the "Lone Wolf and Cub" samurai film series have I enjoyed such an ingenious progression of themed weapons. I recommend both movies, but consider the latter more of a must see than "Pirates."
