A combination of (a) my hastily written opinions/reviews about my latest pop culture excursions; (b) inner musings that may come of those excursions and/or unrelated phenomena; (c) good practice toward, and a low-budget prototype for, an eventual webzine; and (d) whatever seems to work well that day.

Thanks to everyone who came to see the very first performance by The Open Doors, the long-form improv group that I perform in along with LostActor, Durden Kent, Leld, and Radar O. We haven't had formal notes yet, but the feedback I have received so far has been favorable, and I had a lot of fun.

Yep, still around!

Lots of great things are happening in my life and I just don't have the computer-access time to write about them as often as I would like to, but here is a sampler of what has been happening with me lately: rocked with Martacycle and Ant42onia at Blue Oyster Cult (thanks for the accidental free tickets, MC!); am insured again for the first time in nine months --- hooray!; went to go see The Bravery, Ash, and Alaska! with Coasterama last week; and the rawk continues this Friday with Elvis Costello and Saturday with Motorhead, with MC joining me for both. As my friend Man Monster Mahatma once said, "More rock than one man deserves!"

Mix all of that in with some fun and/or interesting ComedySportz performances and a fun night at karaoke last night (the first time in a long time that I felt I pulled off all three songs pretty darned well), as well as a visit from a "back-in-the-day" San Francisco friend this week, and I am pretty busy and diggin' it.

And oh yes, Coasterama started driving two weeks ago! Wait a minute, I have a son that drives? Can I get a decade check?!
